Description
The City of Austin (City) seeks applications in response to this Request for Applicants (RFA) from qualified nonprofit organizations or non-government entities (Applicants) with demonstrated experience in providing supportive services to families experiencing homelessness.
During the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 City of Austin budget process, the Austin City Council approved funding to help families exit homelessness and sustain housing. The Homeless Strategy Office is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) to seek innovative ideas to serve families experiencing homelessness.

| May 30, 2025 5:06 PM | Cells E20, E21, E22, E23, and E24 on the Budget Narrative tab do not seem to be rolling up correctly from the All Other Sources tab, which then causes problems with the Budget Rollup and Budget Summary tabs. Could you please check? In addition, the blacked out cells in row 30 prevent addition of other financial assistance to clients from being included in the project. | You are correct. The lines were not properly aligned between the two tabs. We have updated the form so it aligns and sent out the new version. Make sure to use Version 3 of the 3- Budget and Narrative form. Regarding the Other line item – that is not a usable line in the budget. All financial assistance should be included in one of the available line items: Rent Assistance; General Housing Assistance or Direct Client Assistance. |

Should this equal the minimum number of households expected to be served over the course of the grant in Output#2 of Question 7 of the Application or the number we expect to serve? And, Cell B4 on the Cost Per Client tab brings this number of households in although each household consists of at least two clients. Should this be changed? | For B4 on the Budget Summary tab, this number should equal Output 2 of the Application – number of households served. The tab should be cost per household, not cost per client. This was an error. We apologize for the confusion. |
